It has been a long time since I have written. Now I got a lot of things to write about.

Well, firstly in Singapore and the rest of the world. The time I am writing now would just have became New Year. So, Happy New Year. Now it is already the start of the Year 2010. Make the most of your life in the Year 2010 by doing things that will benefit others.

I should start to type about the first day of my Singapore Holiday trip but I shall tell you some details. This trip was sponsored by the most generous and kindest man and Guru I have ever met, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. When you think about your Guru, think of him of one with the Buddha. Any Buddha will be fine as long as it is the one you mainly practice on, for example for me it's Lama Tsongkhapa.

Ok, now I shall start to type on the first day of the trip. On the beginning of the day, Mama, Aunty Susan and I had to run some errands. Firstly, we had to send Jannic to the vet for heart worm treatment. After dropping Jannic off, we went to the post office of Telawi. While waiting for Aunty Susan to do the stuff she needed to do in the post office, I bought Subway sandwiches. I had a chicken teriyaki sandwich while Mama and Aunty Susan had some sort of Salad Sandwich. After that, we went Singapore. It was a very long trip.

When we reached Singapore, the first thing we did was to go to our hotel. Our hotel was Hotel Re! It is a very colourful hotel. The room was quite small though.

After that, we went to the Singapore Night Safari. When we arrived, the place was quite packed. We went for the Creatures of the Night Show. The show was quite cool with very entertaining hosts and very cute animals too. The show ended with a special message regarding the environment. They invited some animals up onto the stage to recycle some stuff but it was quite cute the way they put the rubbish in the cans. One of them was fooling around with the tin can. The host asked the trainer what it was doing. The trainer said checking. The host asked checking for what? The trainer said checking for expiry date. It was so funny. After that, they finally completed but there was a problem, no one picked up the plastic bottles. They were actually meant for another animal but it was too shy. SO the host ended up picking up the plastic bottles. At the end of the show, we were in for a treat. There was a special deal for one of the souvenirs. The souvenir was a snow leopard toy. The souvenir which was originally $22 was now for $10 for the first 10 customers. I got it!

When meeting the animals during the walk through the forest a.k.a zoo, we chanted some mantras for all the animals. You can chant the Medicine Buddha Mantra. Which is Tayatha Om Beckanze Beckanze Maha Beckanze Beckanze Ranza Samughate Soha. You can also chant Nangyalma's Mantra. Which is Om Droom Soha. Kindness towards animals is very good. It is the same with all sentient beings. War brings nothing, it just takes lives. Not just people but animals too. You must know that every sentient being would have been your mother,father, dog,cat etc.

After that, we went to Singapore's 24 hour mall, Mustafa. To me it was kind of a Mamak Mall :|

After that we went to a vegetarian restaurant. I had a cheese tosai and a chocolate milkshake.

The next morning, I woke up early because I could not sleep. So, I started to read my book until it became a bit brighter in the sky. I asked Mama for the key and I went downstairs to take a walk around. People were eating their breakfast. They were mostly foreigners. I gotten hungry. So I went upstairs to ask Mama whether I could have something to eat. In the end, I started to eat some instant cup noodles.

After that the day truly began, we went to Sentosa Island. Firstly, we went to have some lunch at Delifrance. Then we went to the underwater world. It was very interesting. There was even an audio tour. I accidentally dunked the audio machine in the touch pool so it ended up broken. I went to return it and exchange it. I took the tour around. It was very interesting. Some people think that fish is vegetarian. Does it look like a vegetable? No, Right! Fishes swim!!! They have gills. Eating fresh fish like picking the crab/lobster out of the tank and tell the restaurant people to cook it.

After that, we went back to Hotel Re! After that we went to Clarke Quay. It was a very cool place. They had a bungee chair. Aunty Susan played a game called the pick game. I hate to be the victim of the pick game. What is the pick game? It is just a game where the victim is given two choices. The choices are each bad. In this case, very bad. Aunty Susan sounded like she really meant it and wanted to force me up to the bunjee chair but I was too scared. I don't like to go on stuff like those. The choices she gave me were go on the bungee chair or cut off my toe . I don't like either. If you go on the bungee chair you will not feel your legs. If you cut of your toe it would hurt but it has the same result . That is my perspective. That shows that I actually have a weak mind. But never mind that, time to type about the next day.

The next day was Aunty Susan's Birthday. * Blows trumpet*

We went to the Tooth relic temple. It housed Buddha Shakyamuni's Tooth. It also kept Shakyamuni's Intestines, eyes, brain ( he has a colourful brain which has like 4 different colours ) etc. I do not know how they know which is which. To me they all look like tiny balls!

After that, we went to Orchard Road. I just learned how to pronounce it. The ch is not pronounced like a K. We originally went there to see the lights. Instead we went shopping. After, 3 hours of shopping, we went to a Japanese restaurant. Unsurprisingly, there was little things that were vegetarian but it is the only restaurant that sells something vegetarian.

After that, we went to see the lights a bit. They were like big balls of light floating in the sky.

After that, we went back to our Hotel. The first thing we done was get a cake for Aunty Susan. Then we sang the Happy Birthday song.

~~Happy Birthday Song~~

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Haaaaaappy Birthday to Aunty Susan,
Happy Birthday to you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now we waited. Waited for what?We waited for New Year. We did not get any count down. There were no fireworks but a new year is a new year. Mama told me that New Year is just another day, It is just another day closer to dying. I know that is true.
Today is our last day in Singapore. I think later we are going to Bright Hill temple.
Hope you like my blog!!!!
Today was a veeeeery fun day. I went to help out in Tsem Ladrang.
I woke up quite late. I went to the kitchen to have a nice bowl of Banana Nut Flavoured Cheerios. Yum! After that, Mama and I was on our way to Tsem Ladrang. Tsem Ladrang is H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's household. All the Ladrang staff work almost 24 hours. That is alot of hard work.
When we reached the gate, Mama dropped me of at the gate. I waited at the guard house to get in because I am a visitor. The guards at the Ladrang are very good they work like 24 hours a day too!
The first thing I done was i went to the big bird cage and tried to feed the birds. In the end, the birds that I was feeding wanted to make a meal out of me -_-
After that I went to help clean the turtle pond.
My final work was to help out to roll up the khatas. At first, I done it but it was ugly. So it had o be done again. I went to help Uncle Kennie for awhile whilst Melissa ( Tsem Ladrang's most hardworking kid/teen ) re-rolled the khatas. In the end I also help to re-roll the rest of the khatas.
After that we had to just chill out in the gift room while Uncle Kennie and Aunty Su Ming left the room to do something really important.
After that, I had some dinner that consists of pizza,rice,scrambled eggs, veggies etc.
That was my trip to Ladrang.
I want to show you a neat trick I am not sure whether it will work for you but it worked for me.
Step 1 : Place your fingers is the position below.
_________________ _________________
________________ _________________
Step 2: Place that position of your fingers very close to your eyes.
Result : You might see an extra finger.
Hope you like my blog. If you think its cool please comment
Yesterday I went to watch the Legend of the Conch Shell, the Lama Tsongkhapa play, again after watching it for the first time on the premiere night. The show on the premiere night was good but last nights was better in many ways.
The improved sections are :
  1. " The demons who try to attack TsongkhapaUnfo" scene is improved because it was added a flashing picture of a skull in the background meaning that the demons where trying to make Lama Tsongkhapa so scared of death, he would stop doing the Dharma but the demons did not succeed.
  2. They used more confetti in the scenes.
  3. The characters show up more often.
  4. "Presents by Kechara" on the title screen is replaced by "Kechara Presents"
  5. The actors acted lovelier
  6. I was a bit of the critic of the first show , I really enjoyed the last show :)
Unfortunately I think that the aifm dj who was the mc still has room for improvement.
At the end of the show, people had to give flowers to the four main actors,backstage crew etc. When Uncle Lai walked to the centre of the stage to bow and when he was about to return to his place, Uncle David came to him with a bouquet of flowers to give to hid father. I was so touched, I almost felt like crying from tears of happiness. Later, I had to give a bouquet of flowers to the actor who played Lama Tsongkhapa.
After that we went to a christmas party. Then there was a mini "debate" about whether animals are meant to be killed for food or not. I thought not because that animals are meant to be killed for that reason I think it is just that out of the enjoyment of chewing on the juicy flesh of the animal. Imagine roasting your mother, your father or whatever living being you love the most, then later you take a fork on and stab it into their dead body and putting the meat in your mouth slowly chewing all the fat and meat. Imagine that!
Chicken egg can be considered vegetarian, duck egg too, but caviar is not. Why? It is because you have to hurt the fish by squeezing the eggs out and most of the time the fish would die from the proccess of taking the eggs and some might die from being to weak after getting squeezed. Imagine you are pregneant and then some big guy comes and takes a big machine and throws you in it, the machine squeezes out your baby as slowly and painfully as it can would you like that!
After that, we went home and I "pengsan" on the bed and slept.
Hope you like my blog. Please comment if there is anything you want to correct me at etc.
Lately I haven't been writing my blog. Sorry to all who were waiting for my next post.Well now I have got quite a long story.
The First Day, Friday
Friday was just like an average day to some people but the truth is it is Lama Tsongkhapa Day !!!!. All the people of the Gelugpa tradition (Yellow Hat tradition). The people are not a hundred but thousands.
On this auspicious day, H.E. Tsem Tulku gave a Dharma talk. I felt so happy. Rinpoche said that even at the Dalai Lama's palace many people do there to offer oil for the butter lamps or the butter lamps itself or together . (well i guess you get my point ( This is my thought ))
Well, Rinpoche said something that really touched me. He told the audience to meditate for two minutes about how many people has benefited you. After the two minutes, Rinpoche told us to meditate another two more minutes to meditate about how you can repay them the favour. I have learned many things for the dharma talk. I learned that if you don't help others after they help you, after a few times, they will get sick of you and they will go away. If you go away from friends who were rich at first but in the end became poor, they would not want to be friends with you anymore. That was when Rinpoche was talking about the topic :" LOYALTY "
I found the teaching so interesting. In fact, I loved it.
The Second Day, Saturday
Today was TGIMAAS day. What does TGIMAAS stand for you may ask? It stood for THANK GOD IT'S MAMA AND AUNTY SUSAN day.
I woke up at 5 a.m. to do housework for Mama and Aunty Susan but things did not work out as planned. I fell asleep and woke up at 6 a.m. I cleaned the kitty litter. I wiped the windows and tables. I fixed up a BIG bowl of Cheerios Banana Nut Cereal for Aunty Susan. Later, she did not finish it because it was too much of a big bowl.
I also made some toast and half boiled eggs for mama and a small bowl of Cheerios Banana Nut Cereal. The only problem was I cooked it a bit too early. Mama still wanted to sleep. So in the end it became cold :(
I was supposed to wake her up at 9 something in the morning. In the end, she woke up by herself at 10 a.m. The reason I did not wake her up is because I was "busy" playing my Nintendo DS that I got for my birthday. I am very sorry.
After that we went to Sunway Pyramid. While Mama was working in Kechara Paradise Sunway Pyramid, I was walking around looking around.
I shall write info about Kechara Paradise Sunway Pyramid here :
Name : Kechara Paradise Sunway Pyramid.
Short Form of Name : KP Sunway Pyramid
Location : Sunway Pyramid. Near Osim shop. Near Orange Atrium.
My views : IN THE PYRAMID, TREASURES ARE ACTUALLY FOUND !!!
The Third day, Sunday
Today, Manjushri Kids Class organized a trip to Sunway Lagoon. We first went to the Wildlife Park. The Animals there were so cute. But, I have to remember, they are captured and are feeling pain from being captive. You can see some of them go near you to "speak' to you, it is not that they like you, the animals are actually crying their hearts out hoping that you will help them. Some of the students recited the Medicine Buddha Mantra : TAYATHA OM BEKANZE BEKANZE MAHA BEKANZE BEKANZE RANZA SAMUGATE SHOHA .
The second part was that we went to have lunch. After that some kids broke up into smaller groups. The first place I went to first was the WATER PARK. The WATER PARK was quite fun. The only problem is that at the surf beach. There were no wave . Very annoying. I am sorry if it is offensive to Sunway Lagoon but no waves really stink to me. I could design something a bit better when I grow up I hope. Once again sorry of being offensive towards the Sunway Lagoon.
After that I went to the DRY PARK. I tried to walk up the stair to go up to the roller coaster but I was too scared. Later, I went up with Mama. I was horribly scared. I actually lifted up from my seat. Luckily there were seat belt or else I would be dead by now. HAHAHA. After that scary ride, I went on the scary ferris wheel. Scary? Not really but, it looks like as if it could drop anytime. Why? It was shaking. Why it was shaking? My friends kept on shaking it. It was also scary because it stops halfway and once while I was sitting down, everyone tilted the cart to one side. I already forgot why they leaned to one side.
Later , Alex and Zachary ( my friends ) went in to the SCREAM PARK but I was too scared to go in.
The Fourth Day, Today, Monday
Today was a nice day at the office. Nothing much to say here. I just finished my tuition homework.
Hope you like my blog. I shall give you a challenge. The challenge is to count how many words are here in this post ( Including the ending words ). The answer is secret but it is on this page. Also, feel free to comment on the post or you can write the answer.
Answer is :941
Tomorrow is my birthday. But I am going to be in Penang during my birthday.
The story for today will be about my birthday dinner and my trip to my friends house after that.
The day before yesterday, Mama and I went to buy a cake from Alexis. The cake we bought was a bittersweet chocolate cake. I actually asked for a chocolate mousse cake but I was told that a bittersweet chocolate cake is much tastier.
After that, we went back to office. Mama then selected a "Secret Recipe" cake for me.
After that we went to Kechara Oasis. We were thinking that we were the first to arrive. But when I arrived, Uncle Andrew and Uncle Thierry arrived. It was such a good surprise! HAHAHA.
Uncle Andrew and Uncle Thierry helped to decorate my bittersweet chocolate cake with M&M Mini's.
After that, the rest of the guests started coming. After the guest came, they all chatted. Then, the tasty food came. YAY!.
The first course was a "Lobster" Salad. The other courses included "fish" and many others. Finally, they brought the cake in. Everyone started to sing the "Happy Birthday" song. Then I blown the 12 candles on the first cake and the 3 candles on the second cake.
After that, we drank some champagne together with the words : " Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam Seng!"
After that, Joshua, Edward, Beatrix and I went to walk around the mall.
Once the party was over, I went to Joshua's house to stay overnight.We played till slightly late at night. By the way,Joshua has the new game called "Left 4 Dead 2'. It is a zombie game. It is a first-person shooter game.
We woke up quite late yesterday morning. After being fully awake, it was time to go to have lunch. We went to a place far away. I ate a plate of chicken rice. The chili that I put on my chicken was so spicy.
After that we went home ( as in Joshua's house I mean ). I discovered a game that can encourage vegetarianism. The game is called : " Cooking Mama : Mama Kills Animals" It has bonus features including links to the " Meet your Meat" Video and other videos that encourage vegetarianism.
I also got rickrolled by my friend. What is rickrolled? That question I am sure that some of the people who read my blog may ask. Rickrolled is actually something that will happen if you go to a website like : www.1227.com. It will play a music video of Rick Astley. It was a pain in the neck for alot of people because that prank was used on alot of Youtube users.
Hope you like my blog. Thank you!
Yesterday, in the morning, Mama and I went to Sunway pyramid because Mama had to volunteer in Kechara Paradise. I decided to have a walk around Sunway pyramid. I think I lost around 60 calories.
At night, I went to a concert of a singer that is even before Mama's time ----- Boney M. ( trust me she is not boney haha). I had a nice dinner at the concert and her singing was so good I danced till my legs were falling apart.
After that I went home to go to sleep at 12 a.m
Now for today, Today I did not do anything because I mostly stayed at home. But today still has a short story.
I went to Labodega for lunch, After that, I went to look for a birthday present for me that is below RM500. The closest thing is a nintendo ds lite. Mama will think about it. My birthday is next week. :)
I would also like to publish my children story that I have written.
I have not thought of a name for the story yet.
Once upon a time, in a small house, in the village that’s very small, there lived three brothers. Their names were Happy, Sad and Angry.
Happy was always very happy. Sad was always sad. Angry was always grumpy and angry whenever you see him. Sometimes, Angry is a bit evil.
One day, Happy, Sad and Angry were going to their grandmother’s house.
Before they could reach the house, they had to walk through the forest. Happy said: “ This forest is no big problem because I know that I will be protected by my mother’s wise words.” Sad said: “ The forest seems so dark and gloomy and I think there might be thieves hiding in the bushes.” Angry said “ Sad, you are much more timid than a mouse, you… you… ( He was thinking of something to insult sad but he is not that smart to think of so many words). Happy finished Angry’s sentence with : “ I think what Angry wanted to call you was a “scaredy cat”. For once, Angry actually agreed with Happy.
When they crossed the forest, the went straight to their grandmother’s house. The only problem was that Angry dies not agree to go straight ahead. He thinks there is a shortcut behind the trees that are very old. Happy said: “One of Mothers advice was : there are no shortcuts in life, they are mostly detours that might lead to unfortunate endings.” Angry angrily said : “OK..”
Upon arriving their grandmother’s house, their grandmother was already waiting for them at the front door.
Later, their grandmother gave her grandsons three cups of tea. Happy got the perfectly right cup of tea and drank it down happily. Angry got the hottest tea. The second the tea touched his tongue, he started cursing and then he poured the rest of the tea out of the cup and the tea went right on Sad’s lap. Sad moaned. Grandmother got a new pair of pants for Sad. Sad was happy for a second. Then, his tea arrived. It was freezing cold. But Angry said: “drink it! Or else you will be a scaredy cat forever.” Happy thought : “ Angry is really evil but how can I stop him….. AHA…. I got an idea”
But Happy was too late Angry already forced the freezing cold tea down Sad’s throat.
A few hours later, Sad felt horribly sick and no doctors were around. The same day, Sad has passed away. Happy then became very sad. Angry became happy. Angry was thinking of a plan to get rid of Happy so that he would become the “man of the house” .
A few years after Sad’s sad death, Angry suffered from heart failure and too passed away. This made Happy very sad because he lost his only two siblings.
One day, a tiny bird called Garuda flew by, seeing Happy so sad, he decided to fly down and talk to him. Happy explained the whole situation to him. Garuda said : “ I can revive one of your siblings. Which one do you pick? I also need a reason why you picked one and not the other”
Happy said: “ I shall pick Sad because he did not do anything wrong in this life and was helping out all the charities and he also done many other meritorious deeds. The reason why I did not pick angry is because he is the total opposite. He is rude and mean. He actually shooed away some of the homeless at our house who were asking for food. He also caused a lot of trouble in the house. Finally, He murdered my younger brother, Sad. Those are my reasons. Will you grant me the wish, please?”
Garuda said: “ Yes, I shall. But there is a catch to it. The catch is you have to sacrifice something.”
Happy said: “ Will sad be younger when he returns?”
Garuda said: “Yes”
Happy decided: “ I am frail and old the world does not need me anymore. I can’t do any thing for the society. So, I wish to sacrifice myself”
Garuda was impressed and said: “ I shall grant the wish. But you still got a long life to live. I shall let you live and I shall also let you become younger so that you and your little brother can help the society.”
Sad was revived, Happy is happy and young, Angry or as Happy calls him, Evil is gone forever and they lived happily ever after.
The End
Yesterday, I was helping a little in KMP ( Kechara Media and Publications ( the office that Mama works in ). Other than that, I was continuing to do my assignment. Mama taught me something new. The thing she taught me was : joyous effort. My concept of joyous effort is that I should happily work for the Dharma now and forever.
At night, just as we were about to have dinner at Boathouse ( a very tasty restraunt in TTDI ( Taman Tun Dr. Ismail ( KL, Malaysia ). Mama had to go to Ladrang. So, I also followed. When we arrived, we went upstairs to Aunty Beng Kooi's office and waited for H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's phone call. After a few minutes, the phone did not ring. Later, we ( Aunty Jamie, Aunty Susan, Aunty Feng, Uncle David, Mama and I) were sent to the Bam room downstairs. While we were waiting for H.E. Tsem Tulkue Rinpoche to come down, we just chatted. We were chatting about going for a Nepal Pilgrimage or going to Tibet.
After a few minutes, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche came down ! YAY!! H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche was talking to Aunty Jamie about the awesome new book covers for her book that Rinpoche really loved. H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche also gave a Dharma talk. The part of the Dharma talk that I loved the most was that you must take a happy feeling when going to work thinking : "I will succeed, I will have success" Then, the Karma for you to succeed opens. H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche payed for our delicious dinner at Boathouse and Rinpoche also bought tickets for the movie New Moon. I loved the movie. It just has less action than the first one. It so happened than I wrriten on Facebook that I wished that I could watch New Moon :)
I woke up at 10.30 a.m. and had to have a nice shower and then I ate some cereal for breakfast. I had to do them quickly because my tuition teacher was coming. Originally, we( the tuition teacher and I ) planned to go to the Chinese International book fair at the mines convention center but plans have changed because i wanted to attend one of the other events that I will write about here.
After tuition, Mama and I went to Bangsar Village to have some lunch. I had shrimp salad and sheperd's pie while Mama had a different salad only.
After that, Mama and I went to KMP because Mama had some work to do at KMP. So, I chilled out at the Dhi room.
After Mama finished her work, we went to TTDI park to liberate birds. Upon reaching the park, we just got a briefing then we walked up a flight of stairs then we chanted some prayers then we released the birds. Unfortunately, One of the birds died. I think I might be one of the few people who cared that the bird died. As I could see, all the other kids did not bother whether the bird had died or not, they just continued to play around.
After the Animal Liberation, Aunty Su Ming treated everyone with cake from secret recipe all the kids got chocolate milkshakes.
After that we went to Tsem Ladrang. I played with Yogi ( H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpche's dog ). Yogi loooooooooooooves to kiss me. After that, we ( Mama and I) went home.
Lately I have not been writing my blog because I was lazy and I was having fun. While I was having fun, I now have a lot to write :)
The day before yesterday, I went to the dog party again. This time, after running around in circles I actually was rewarded by Aunty Susan. The reward was a small cup of milo. The main reason for coming today was not only to let Jannic have a nice walk and have a party. There are two main reasons for coming here today. One was to let Jannic "refresh" her memory for commands like : stay, break, heel etc. The other reason was so that Zamkar could be toilet trained because he will pee on suitcases or sneakily eat some food that was not meant for him.
In the evening, I had a choice between having tuition or going to Uncle Thierry's house. Of course I chose to go to Uncle Thierry's house.
The house was so beautiful. The place surrounding the house was soooooooooooooo refreshing and natural. The living room of the house is soooooooooooooo good looking. The kitchen is sooooooooooooooooo advanced.
They( Uncle Thierry and Uncle Andrew) also have a little garden for organic vegetables. They also keep six very adorable dogs.
At the house, Aunty Susan, Uncle Thierry and Mama were having a meeting regarding lamrim. While waiting for the meeting to finish, Uncle Andrew and I started making a Soufflé . The Soufflé came out peeeeeeeeeerfectly. ( I seem to have a problem with italics I shall be writing in italics from now on in this post ( I guess) ) TheSoufflé was eaten with orange and chocolate ice cream.
After that,we went home and I went to bed.
On the second day, I went to a farewell party that was held by one of my friends called Naomi who is moving to Australia next year. Actually I was not really invited but Zachary invited me.
Zachary picked me up when we both went to pay the Kuen Cheng High School school fees. After that we just played Battleship. Then we found out we were late. We rushed to the party.
I swam and swam till I had sunburn. Then the pizza came! The pizzas I ordered for the party ( because it was potluck ) were classified chicken and BBQ chicken.( Poor chickens )
After that, we went upstairs to just chill out. Later, one of the kids spat a small, very quickly melting ice cube at a persons car accidentally.
Later, the owner of the car came up and brought the head of the management office of the condo and the security guards up just to scold us saying that there is a very biiiiiiiiig dent on the car from the tiny ice cube. Later, he said he wanted the kids IC number, Address, Name etc. The man actually threatened to call the police.
After that, we were trying to find ways to protect my friend because he did not do anything wrong other that dropping a very small, slowly melting ice cube that went out of place because it was blown by the wind and hit the car.
Later, when we went through the facts, we found out that the ice cube hit the windscreen. I wonder how can a windscreen being able to have a veeeeeeeeeerrrrrry biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig dent caused by a small, slowly melting ice cube.
Also, when we checked out the car, there was not even a scratch on it. The car was a LAND ROVER. How can an ice cube the size of a 5 sen coin cause a big dent on a LAND ROVER.
Hail is a frequent weather in international countries that are far away from the equator. I doubt that whatever car that goes in those countries with hail will have biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig dents.
Later that day, the guy came back and happily said: " you better do that again ok :P"
I am very sorry for all the people who wanted to view my assignment. Why? Because I have to move my assignment to a Microsoft Word just in case the internet in my house suddenly got destroyed.
Today was a fun day. Why? Because my friend came over.
In the morning, after Zachary ( my friend) reached my house. We took Jannic ( my dog ) to a special dog party.
I just went to do some exercises there because it is at a park.
After that we reached home and Mama and Aunty Susan had to go for a book club. So, for lunch we made two pizzas and they both failed. They were not brown enough but tasted like as if it was cooked though. :)
After that, Zachary and I started making a video. The video hopefully might be uploaded on Youtube.com :)
After that, we waited until Mama and Aunty Susan came back by playing chinese chess and reading a book.
Hope you will like my blog.
p.s. my blog will be shorter from now on because the lamrim is not written here anymore.
Today is my graduation day from Kuen Cheng (2) Primary school.
The first part were a few speeches that I did not understand because it was in advanced mandarin.
The first person who gave the first speech was a Year 6 student to represent the Year 6 students who are graduating ( all of them ). Her voice was very soft until I could not here a thing she said.
The second person who gave the second speech was a Year 5 student to represent the rest of the students in Kuen Cheng (2) Primary school. Her voice was softer and softer than the first person...
The third and fourth person to give a speech was the headmaster and a representative for the teachers and parents society.
After that the just passed out some trophies to students but I did not get any at all.
After that, were some performances and the last performance was the performance I had to dance in and I was on the first row ( sitting ).
After that we returned home to drop off aunty Susan. After resting for awhile, we left off to collect Kak Umi's passport.
After that I had a nice vegetarian lunch with Mama and Kak Umi . The food I had were olive fried rice, butter fried mushrooms and sliced long beans with nuts.
After that, we reached home to find out that Aunty Rosa came to our house in KL with her baby. Her baby was veeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrry cute.
I got an announcement to make. I have understood what is cause and effect. It is because it goes by whether I want something good. I have to work hard for it. Then I finally get the effect.
Another thing is I think that MJ is not dead. Why? because why would 911 hang up a phone call. Also,the ambulance that left the house had no sirens.
Later today, I visited Tsem Ladrang. Then I found out that there was a very coooooool gift for me. The gift was a Star Wars Collectible: A TIE INTERCEPTOR! H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He is a great teacher. He taught me many things. I can still remember one of my first gifts from Rinpoche, it was a Tsongkhapa Tsa Tsa. He gave it to me during one of my first Dharma talks. He was talking about Tara. He was saying that if you even take everything away from Mother Tara, she will not slap you or be angry at you because she is very kind and compassionate.
After That, Mama, Aunty Susan and I went to see H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's new tortoise. Her name Kadro. We also went to see Itchy, Scratchy and Garuda( three rescued birds ). After that, I went home.
I shall continue with my assignment of retyping Day 10 and 11 of the book : LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND.
Je Tsongkhapa said:
Everyone thinks, "Death will eventually come." Yet they keep the evil thought, I will not die today," right until they are on the point of dying.
You grasp on to the idea that you are not going to die, and think," Oh, I could practice Dharma next year or the year after." You are forever procrastinating. You think about Dharma but do not practice it; you remain engrossed in thoughts such as, " I want this valuable object." Meanwhile, while you are not practicing Dharma, your human life is running out.
[THE DRAWBACK THAT] YOU WILL PRACTICE BUT NOT PRACTICE PROPERLY ( 125 )
At the moment we are Dharma practitioners, but because we do not ignore this life's trivia, our practice is not at all pure. We study and contemplate, yet unintentionally want to be scholars, or famous. We meditate, do recitations, and so forth, thinking this will remove life's unfavorable circumstances.Even great meditating hermits are not free from involuntarily wanting to be famous, and so forth. As great Atisha said:
Ask me what the results of thinking only about this life are and I will tell you: they are merely the results of this life.Ask me what will happen in your next lives and I will tell you: you will be reborn in hell; reborn as a hungry ghost; reborn as an animal.
In other words, you will achieve a few resultant benefits in this life, and your next lives will result in your going to the lower realms.
If you act like this, you are no different from a lay person. A Dharma practitioner must first of all ignore this life. I am not saying you should become a pauper; even paupers in their wanderings do not ignore this life. The things you should ignore are the eight worldly concerns. Anything mixed with these concerns are not Dharma. The yogi Chagtrichog asked Atisha," Should I meditate? Should I teach ? Or sometimes teach and sometimes meditate?" Atisha said to each," this will not help." Chagtrichog then asked what he should do and was told, " Give up worldly things."
Lama Gyamaba said:
You fools, you haven't succeeded in a single type of practice,
Yet you are proud of being Dharma practitioners!
See whether you have the first of all Dharmas
In your mindstreams: ignoring this life.
As Geshe Toelungpa once told another : " It is good, my lord, if you practice generosity, but better still to practice generosity, but better still to practice Dharma itself." In other words, Dharma and worldly things are opposites --- even in such actions as these.
Geshe Potowa said you cannot sew with a two pronged needle. If you do not think of death, you will not ignore this life. If you do not ignore this life, you will be controlled by the eight worldly concerns: being happy if you acquire and unhappy if you do not; being happy if comfortable and unhappy if not; happy if famous and unhappy if not; happy if praised and unhappy if criticized. Nagarjuna said of these eight:
By the eight worldly concerns we mean:
the worldly thoughts of acquiring or not,
Comfort or discomfort, fame or notoriety, praise or criticism.
Keep a level head : These are not subjects for your thoughts.
I hope to keep in touch with all my fellow friends. I will miss them
Today was a horrible day. When I received my exam results, the results were not only bad. It was worse! I actually failed an exam that I prepared so much for. I was so sad, I was crying in school. Later, because I was crying so much they actually had to send me to the school counselor.
The school counselor is a very good teacher. She told me that one failed exam is not the end of the world( which I thought was). She convinced me that what everyone expects is not always what they will receive ( I had to learn that the hard way). The way she taught me stuff is by using gems, toys and sand only. She managed to tell me that truthfully life is sometimes unfair but we have to deal with it and go on with life and hope that next time things will be better ( I seriously hope).
When I reached home, I was crying again after I called Mama to tell her the bad news. I could tell that she was very disappointed because of my bad results. I also noticed I will be working even on the "holidays". I am also very sad because I let down Mama, Aunty Susan, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, Por Por and many other people.
I hope everyone could forgive me for what I have done and I hope that in the other exams I will do better. By the way, now I could not cry anymore because my eyes are too dry. So I shall express my feelings in text.
:'( I am sad :'(
I already completed my prayers and my offerings. I also have finished my 100 prostrations. My tuition is at 6 p.m. ( Malaysian time)
So, now I shall continue with my assignment of re-typing Day 10 and 11 of the book: LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HANDS!
TRAINING YOUR MIND IN THE STAGES OF THE PATH SHARED WITH THE SMALL SCOPE (119)
This has two subheadings: (I) developing a yearning for a good rebirth; (2) teaching the means for happiness in your next rebirth.
DEVELOPING A YEARNING FOR A GOOD REBIRTH (120)
This has two subdivisions:(I) remembering that your present rebirth will not last long and that you will die; (2) thinking about what sort of happiness or suffering you will have in your next rebirth in either of the two types of migrations.
RECALLING THAT YOUR PRESENT REBIRTH WILL NOT LAST LONG AND YOU WILL DIE(121)
This has three subheadings: (I) the drawbacks of not remembering death; (2) the advantages of remembering death; (3) the actual way to remember death.
THE DRAWBACKS OF NOT REMEMBERING DEATH (122)
There are six sections here.
THE DRAWBACK THAT YOU WILL NOT REMEMBER DHARMA (123)
If you do not recollect death, you will think about only this life, get caught up in its many demands---food, clothes, and so on --- and thus not practice Dharma. If you recollect death well, you will work hard to prepare for your next lives, just as a Khampa about to go on a journey would work only at preparing and packing. Your enormous craving for food,fashion, reputation, and so on, can be blamed on your not remembering impermanence. Every day that passes without recalling impermanence is a day of your life wasted.
THE DRAWBACK THAT YOU WILL REMEMBER [THE DHARMA] BUT NOT PRACTICE IT ( 124 )
I shall write until here for now thanks.( more secret text)
KECHARA MEDIA AND PUBLICATIONS ROCKS!
Today is a very big day for me. I am so happy today. Why? It is because I managed to pass the Kuen Cheng High School entrance exam. As a reward Mama will take me out for dinner :)
Most of my friends made it, some did not apply and some failed :'(
Today, I came home in my school bus as usual. One of the kids were chanting :" 2 more days of seeing Sean's face " Even though I think the kid is insulting me because I have two days of my current school left, I still think it has a bit of a tune and seems to rhyme. HaHaHa( sarcastically)
Upon reaching home, I had a tasty lunch of pork and chicken feet with rice. ( By the way, I am not vegetarian. I only don't eat beef). After that, I went upstairs to my room to do my prayers as usual and do my water offering.
After that I went downstairs to do my 100 prostrations. Then, I started to write my blog.
Now, I shall continue with my assignment of retyping Day 10 and 11 of the book :" LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND"
You must be farsighted from the beginning. You must feel," I am prepared to use my entire human life to pursue just one meditation topic of the lamrim." But we are farsighted about worldly things, which is the wrong way round. Lack persistence worldly things, non the Dharma. If you feel, " It's impossible not to achieve anything in Dharma" and practice with courage, you will not have to spend a month or a year on a single meditation topic.
Geshe Kamaba said:
We say,"Our contemplations achieve nothing." Why do you think that is? Don't lie: you are distracted in the daytime and fall asleep at night!
In other words, never mind our spending a month on a meditation topic; we have not even meditated on a single topic for the length of a single meditation session. How unrealistic to feel, "Even now I haven't developed realizations!" We don't make determined practice our starting point, yet we roll our eyes into the top of our head [and pretend to meditate] when we do just one recitation of, for example, [Tsongkhapa's] Basis of All Good Qualities. If we act in this way, our wish to develop insights and realizations into the lamrim is an extremely greedy one. This is where the fault lies.
Karag Gomchung Rinpoche, a Kadampa, said:
Look far ahead. Be farsighted. Be in tune.
These three things are vital. The meaning is that you must look far ahead to the goal of omniscience; be farsighted about the small and medium scopes; and meditate to reach the right pitch or tension. Your practice, too, should be at the right pitch. When you receive the Dharma orally from your guru and then practice frantically for a few days with superficial renunciation, this is a sure sign that you will make no progress.
HOW TO EXTRACT THE ESSENCE FROM YOUR OPTIMUM HUMAN REBIRTH (118)
This has three sections: (I) training your mind in the stages of the path shared with small scope ; (2) training your mind in the stages of the path shared with the medium scope; (3) training your mind in the great-scope stages of the path.
Hope you like the blog :) More secret text( highlight the text to see (same as earlier blog))
TSEM TULKU RINPOCHE ROCKS
Today, I was beaten up again in school. Resulting in another slightly bruised arm.
At school, all the Year six students had to dance until our arms and legs almost seemed broken as today, there was a big rehearsal for the graduation ceremony. But by as it seems, it is the headmaster's graduation ceremony. Why? Because he is forcing all the innocent Year 6 students who did not apply for the dancing to dance till they drop.Even though I applied for it, I think someone should stand up for the Year 6 students who did not volunteer for suffering. The way they train us is sometimes painful and hard because they scold us a lot when we don't get on stage on time or did not dance perfectly. I mean, no one is perfect!
After that, our hard work was kind of repaid. We had a mini"buffet" style "lunch" at 11.30 a.m.
Upon reaching home, I started to have some real lunch. After that, I done my prayers and my offerings and done my 100 prostrations. I had to do it without my pants as I found it easier for me to do my prostrations without my pants :)
After I had tuition, Kak Umi and I started decorating the Christmas Tree. We finished it already :)
Now I shall continue retyping Day 10 and 11 of the book : " LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HANDS"
We have not yet achieved advanced results like previous practitioners.Je Milarepa trained in the common path under Marpa, and many of his songs are about his development of these realizations. And you need the lamrim to make the especially rapid progress promised by the secret tantras. This is the implication of the names the Easy Path and the Swift Path. That Milarepa achieved the unification in one lifetime was not due to tantra alone; he had already trained in the path of three scopes in formers lives. In one former life,for example, he was the Kadampa Chagtrichog, as said in the introduction to mind training.
Although people who embark on the secret tantras must have trained in the shared part of the path beforehand , we did not do this : we embarked on the secret tantras first , did not keep our tantric commitments, and thought we meditated on the two stages. They say that many such people will go to the Vajra Hell.
That was it for today. Hope you like my blog. I've got some secret text
Kechara House Rocks !
Today, I beaten up by a young kid who I don't know. Resulting it an arm that has a bruise on it and a hurt back from when he hit me to a chair knocking both the chair and me down and hurting my leg to internally.
Later, at the bus, I was laughed at because I'm fatherless and they also laughed at me when I told them what job I do.
Today, I had a very bad headache which still did not heal after two hours of sleep. The headache still hurts horribly :(
Well, in the good side today, the students managed to watch a video about a man with no arms and legs( but he has a small leg which he calls a "chicken drumstick") The name of the man is Nick Vujicic. He has a few motto's I will list them out :
  • I am special
  • Never ever give up
  • I am beautiful ( for girls)
  • I am the man ( for boys )
He also has two websites:
  • attitudeisaltitude.com( it was mentioned at the end of the video)
  • lifewithoutlimbs.com ( about his life )
Now I shall continue with writing Day 10 and Day 11 of the book " LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND "
When we speak of small and medium scopes, we mean training the mind in the stages of the path shared with the small and medium scopes; we do not mean training the mind in the actual small and medium parts of the path. Suppose there are three people: one going to Tashi Lhuenpo, one to Rong, and one to Chusur. The first wants to go to Tashi Lhuenpo but must first share some of the road with the other two. The three have three different things in mind: two are traveling to either Rong or Chusur, and the first intends to continue on to Tashi Lhuenpo.
So, in the small- and medium-scope sections of the lamrim, you must focus on achieving buddhahood for the sake of sentient beings. Developing bodhichitta is the actual practice; the small- and medium-scope parts of the path are preliminaries to developing bodhichitta. You may be wondering, " In that case it must be sufficient to teach the great scope from the outset. I doubt that the so-called small and medium are needed."There are two reasons for discussing all three. There are people who cannot train their minds in the great scope initially , so they need to practice in stages through the small and medium scopes. This approach is more beneficial for people with good, mediocre, or inferior minds. Also, without some familiarity with the earlier parts of the path, you will have no renunciation at all in your mindstream, so you need to defeat any pride you may have about being a Mahayanist or follower of the secret tantras.
To develop boddhichitta, which is the actual practice, you need to develop such compassion that you simply cannot bear others being tormented by suffering. But in order to develop compassion, you must know exactly how you yourself is plagued by suffering. And you must understand that the whole of samsara is by nature suffering. But first you must fear the lower realms , for without this you will have no repudiation of celestial and human happiness. You must therefore train your mind in the small- and medium-scope parts of the path. This training is like the foundations and wall-supports of a house.
Well, I guess I will be writing up to here and I am getting tired already. This is the top of the page : 293.
I guess because I did not do my chores in before the time I'm supposed to do and did not do some chores at all, I will not have any dinner today.
Hope you like my blog.
I have a new assignment that could help me become hardworking and not lazy.
I shall start with self confession. I have a lot of things I am supposed to do but in the end, I did not do them. I shall list it out :
  1. Do my prayers ( Lama Tsongkhapa's Guru Yoga)
  2. Feed Jannic, my dog
  3. Do my water offerings
  4. Write my blog often
  5. Do my work of compiling H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's Tweets on twitter and correcting the short form words like : d, ppl, hv,u,ur,urself etc.
  6. Do my daily exercises
I have done many bad things that I am not supposed to do. I shall list them out too:
  1. Play computer. I usually do it for 4-5 hours
  2. Watch Television. estimated 3 hours
  3. Sitting down staring at a wall. I usually do it for 1-2 hours
  4. Eating between meals. Around 30 minutes.
After discussing with Mama and Aunty Susan, I now have a list of chores I have to do. The chores are:
  • Doing my prayers and water offerings Before 5 p.m.
  • Feed Jannic ( including fill water bowl and clean water bowl ) Before 7 p.m.
  • Tuition Homework( Whenever I have it ) Before 8 p.m.
  • Write my blog End of day
  • Doing my compilation of tweets on Twitter( 100 per day ) Everyday
  • Exercises(Run to the school down the lane and run home 3 times.Then play badminton) Before 6 p.m.
  • Eat less between meals 24 hours.
Now, the beginning of my assignment. I have to retype the Day 10 and Day 11 chapter of this book ( I will write information about it):
Name : LIBERATION IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
Author : Pabongka Rinpoche
Edited by : Trijang Rinpoche
Translated by: Micheal Richards
Published by: Wisdom publications.
The re-typing starts now.
( I shall type it in red colour )
DAY 10
Kyabje Pabongka quoted the following praise from the writings of Genduen Tenzin Gyatso, a great adept:
This is not false, invented the Dharma, because it is the pith of authentic oral teachings.
This is not foolish talk, because it comes from classical texts by the great champions.
This is not a shimmering mirage, because saintly scholars and adepts have experienced it.
This is not a perilous cliff, because it is the highway to highest enlightenment.
He quoted this as part of a short talk to set our motivation. He restated the headings we had above and then reviewed the material that comes after the subheading " Devoting Yourself through Deeds," part of the section on "The Root of the Path : Devotion to a Spiritual Guide"
Between meditations, mainly read books that teach about the optimum human rebirth. If, after thinking about the difficulty of obtaining this most beneficial human rebirth, you develop a wish to extract some essence from it, you should train your mind though the three scopes of the lamrim. The extent to which you train your mind in these three scopes determines how much of the small, medium, or great essence you will eventually extract.
If we want to achieve buddhahood, we must first develop realization into earlier sections of the path; if not, we will not develop realization into the later parts. For example, Khampas coming to see the Shakyamuni statue in Lhasa Cathedral first leave their homes, arriving finally at the statue. The road leads them here bit by bit; it is impossible for them any part of the way. Nor can you develop realization into such higher parts of the path as compassion until you have the first achieved the lower parts - renunciation and so on. [Shantideva] says in Engaging in the Deeds of Boddhisattvas:
If you have not even dreamed
Of benefiting yourself
Before dreaming this for sentient beings, How could you be of benefit to others?
I shall write until here for today as it is late and I am sleepy. I shall continue tomorrow.
I have written up to page 292.
Today, I went together with Kak Umi to the MidValley mall of Kuala Lumpur.Kak Umi had to collect some money from her friend.
After that, we went to buy some groceries. I bought one token for an arcade game. The arcade game I played was " Hit the Crocodile". It is the game were you have to take a baton and whack plastic crocodiles.
After we went grocery shopping, we both sat down and ate some fish balls together. There wasn't much to do at the mall at all.
Other than that, I just was given a new job. My job is to compile H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's tweets from Twitter and copy and paste it into Microsoft word and edit words like : d, ppl, u,ur,urself etc.
So far, I only managed to compile and edit 300 tweets.
The Twitter Website is :
www.twitter.com/tsemtulku
H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has already posted 2000 posts already !
Today, I truly learned that being lazy is horribly bad because everything that I do that is lazy can mean that I am selfish. I am selfish when I am lazy because when I am lazy, I am only thinking about myself.
Laziness has bad results. Because I did not study hard enough, my exam grades were not that good at all :( When I am lazy to do my work, I get punished.
Selfishness is already as bad as it can be so why should I be lazy? because laziness is a 2-in-1 bad quality. So, bit by bit, I WILL CHANGE. I know I can change if I am not lazy to change. So I'll repeat these words again : I WILL CHANGE. Change what ? I WILL CHANGE FROM A LAZY BOY TO A HARDWORKING MAN !
Hope you like my blog!
Lately my Internet was fried by a lightning strike. The lightning strike was very scary. The minute it hit, I was screaming horribly loudly.
I shall start where I did not write, the first thing is: the late MJ's new, second and last movie : This is It !
The movie was quite cool. It was like a concert because they just show songs that the late Micheal Jackson sang before he passed away. The songs included : Smooth Criminal, Beat it, Thriller, Earth Song, Billie Jean and many more. Some of the songs were remade and looked different as they were trying to make some new music videos. They actually wanted to make " Thriller 3-D " and they remodeled the Earth Song.
Now to Yesterday, I went to see a concert for awards about Chinese Culture. The dinner there was awesome.
The first course was octopus, some dumpling, vegetables and fish. The main courses were chicken, fish, fried rice and many more. The desert was longan with almond in sugar water aand fresh fruits.
That is about it as I can't remember some of the things that happened.
Hope you like my blog!!! :)
I did not manage to write this on the exact day it happened because I was away from the computer. This is it !
On 31st of October, most of students of Year 6 in SJK(C) Kuen Cheng (2) ( including me) went to a small field trip. ( I will be using the term "we" sometimes in this blog because it is not just myself who went to the small field trip).
Early in the morning, Beatrix and I took off from her house to the school where all the students were supposed to meet up.
When we reached the school, I noticed that the school was awfully quiet because the only people there were most of the Year 6 students and some teachers.
After the teachers did a head count, we took off to our first destination in an air-conditioned bus. Our first destination was in Pahang. It was an one and a half hour trip from our school to our destination.
Our first destination was actually supposed to be the elephant sanctuary but plans had changed because there were to many people at the elephant sanctuary. So, instead of the elephant sanctuary, we walked uphill to the Orang Asli ( Malaysian term for Aborigines or Natives) Village.
The first part of the trip to the Orang Asli Village was a visit to the school that the Orang Asli study in. Apparently, there is no electricity and the school is just made out of rattan. All the "air-conditioning" is the wind. They showed us how to use a blowpipe. I even got a chance to try it out. I missed the targets and hit the picture of the elephant :(
The second part of the trip to the Orang Asli Village was to take a look around the village to see the houses through the ages. One or two of the houses was made out of twigs and leaves and people are still living in those huts. Later, the Orang Asli became a bit more civilized and started to build wooden houses on stilts. Later, the government funded the Orang Asli and they became even more civilized and built houses with cement and bricks.
That was the end of our trip to the Orang Asli Village.
After that, we went towards to the elephant sanctuary.
After we walked downhill, we went through the gates of the elephant sanctuary and over a very big metal bridge that seemed as if it were to collapse any second.
We had to wait outside so the teachers could do a head count. While we were waiting, we managed to see two elephants passing by.
We were originally going to see a short film about the life of an elephant first but things changed. Instead, we got to see the elephants first.
After walking awhile, we arrived at the forest where they keep the elephants. There were some chained up elephants. The smallest and youngest one seemed to be very happy to meet us because it was waving its trunk round and round and it also raised its trunk and I thought that it was smiling. Now I will tell you a bit about elephants :
1. Many people think that elephants are scared of mice but as the people who work at the elephant sanctuary said : " Elephants are scared of bees ".
2. The elephant shows are actually torture towards the elephants.
3. Elephant's poop can weigh up to 65 kg and 50% of that is not digested.
and many others.
Later, we fed the elephants sugar canes and after that we went to ride on the elephants. The elephants hair was very sharp and spiky.
After that we went to visit the elephant museum. It had elephant bones and a lot of text about the elephants. We were originally going to see the short clip about elephants now but other students were using the theatre and if we were to wait till they leave, it would ruin the schedule. So we left for our third destination.
Our third stop was the Deer Park. It was a 5 minute bus ride from the elephant sanctuary.
At the Deer Park, we were given some potatoes to feed the deer. When I was about to collect some potatoes, one of the deer started chewing on my T-shirt and I think one was chewing on the backside of my pants. While feeding the deer, one of them stood up and he was taller than me and tried to get my food but "accidentally" stepped on my foot.
After feeding the deer, we went to see the other animals. The people there seemed to imprison house cats too because they think they are zoo animals. The main attractions included the sun bear cub and the Papa sun bear.
Our fourth stop was outside of the jungle of Pahang and into the small towns of Pahang. Our fourth stop was : LUNCH!!!!!!! We had fish, chicken, vegetables, egg and tofu :)
Our fifth stop was the peanut factory. The peanut factory was a small family business. I will show the peanut making process by text:
1. Take the imported peanuts( from around the world) and mix with salt
2. Take the salted peanuts and put them out at the sun.
3. Later, cook the peanuts in some sort of machine. ( History lesson : the first and second generation of this family of peanut factory workers actually cooked the peanuts by hand whereas currently they use machines but still use firewood to make fire. )
4. Pick the good peanuts from the bad ones.
5. seal them up in cans or packets
6. And SELL!!!!!
At the end of the tour, I bought some peanuts home as souvenirs.
The sixth stop is the Tau Fu Factory. There is not much to say here but I bought some Tau Fu Pok back home.
The seventh and supposed to be final stop was the mushroom factory. There seriously is nothing to be said here except that I bought some mushrooms meant for making butter-fried mushrooms home.
The bonus stop that was not included in our payments is the ice cream factory. The ice cream factory that we visited was just a little coffee shop but one of the sultans of Malaysia loves it and sometimes will close it down for a few days to have some ice cream. Unfortunately, the ice cream factory was not open but the coffee shop was! So, I bought a chocolate ice cream.
After that, we happily went back to school. The End.
And I would like thank Beatrix and her family for letting me stay with them during the weekend while my mother was not home as she had to go to her cousins funeral.
Hope you like my blog !!!! :)
Most of the time, I get bullied at either at school or the school bus. I will tell you about today's story.
At school, I was hit by a "cannonball"( A football(soccer) term for a powerfully kicked ball) on my hip. The guy did not say sorry at all.
After school, I had to go to a very small van with a lot of people then be transferred to another bus which also had a lot of people. In the small van, I was bullied by a two 8 year-old school kids. They would bully me almost every time I get on the bus. They also bully other kids like my friends Min Hann and Christina. When I tell them to be quiet while they are irritating me and my friends, they will start hurting me! How they hurt me? Well, they hurt me by:
1. Screaming in my ear
2. Whacking me
3. Sometimes using one of their shoes to hit me.
4. Using their ties to hit me.
and others.
Sometimes, when my friends react, I also get beaten. When my friends and I did not tell them to keep quiet or do anything at all , the to eight year-old school kids will still do the above. Sometimes, while I am leaving the van they would attempt to kick my bottom and hoping that I will hit the rusted metal from the end of the seat which I had to lift up to leave the van ( In the end they succeeded :( ) .
Later, in the bigger bus that was very crammed, I was forced to sit in the back of the bus where there were less people and there was no place to sit in the front of the bus. At the back of the bus is the most dangerous part of the bus because there are a group of bullies at the back of the bus. They would usually torture me by forcing me to sing when I don't want to and forces me to listen to songs over and over and over and over again ( most of their songs was by Lady Gaga ( a famous singer) ) The song I had to listen to the most is called " Paparazzi" Now the song is stuck in my head and the most worst part is the only word that always gets stuck in my head is " Papa....Papa....Paparrazi".
Well, today I had it with the torture. I said: " I don't think that Lady Gaga's songs are really that interesting." Then one of the bullies got angry and scratched my arm. I was also kicked multiple times by all the bullies. My leg was very dirty with shoe prints.
After I returned back from school, I went together with Mama to the first bully's house to talk about the scratching my arm situation. That was later solved by us apologizing to each other and shaking hands : ) I hope that we will be friends from tommorow onwards.
After that I followed Mama to KMP. I had some work to do earlier. It is already completed.
I have included a picture of my scratched arm.
Hope you enjoy my blog! :)
I woke up quite early this morning to go to Lam Rim class with Mama and Auntie Susan.
My favorite part of today's Lam Rim class was when Teacher Ngeow was talking about who are fans of Setrap ( the Dharma Protector of Gaden Monastery and Kechara House). I said I was a fan of Tsongkhapa (Tsongkhapa is a three-in-one Buddha because it has the wisdom of Manjushri( the Buddha of wisdom), the compassion of Chenrezig ( the Buddha of compassion ) and the power of Vajrapani ( the Buddha who can protect you from evil force and so forth). Where was I? Oh, yes. After that, Teacher Ngeow asked what kind of shoes does Setrap wear. Later, the answer turned out to be leather ( but later Mama mentioned that it was actually tiger skin). Teacher Ngeow made a wonderful reference to a story about a man who actually wanted to place leather all over the world so that no one's feet will be hurt whilst walking on the rough ground but later he decided to leather his own feet then he will not feel the pain from the rough ground. The moral : When we want to change the world , WE MUST CHANGE OURSELVES FIRST.
After that, I had a nice Japanese lunch that consists of Teriyaki Chicken, rice, miso soup, soft shell crab and many other stuff.
After lunch, I went to Manjushri Kids class ( MKC) . We finished watching the video about animal liberation ( setting free animals ) . I think that by setting free all the animals will be saving them from slaughter. Teacher Gim Lee said that when we do it, others will follow, then all the animals will be saved. When she said that, I actually thought that maybe that's how the story of the man who wanted to leather the whole world but then decided to leather his feet, thus creating "shoes", and now, everyone has already "placed leather on their feet" The moral : When we change ourselves, WE WILL CHANGE OTHERS TOO.
After MKC, we ( Mama, Auntie Susan and I ) , went to the new Tsem Ladrang for H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. The house was so cool. We also managed to see Rinpoche's room where I will not be able to go into after the renovations are finished.
After reaching home, we rested for awhile. After that, we ( Mama, Auntie Susan, Auntie Hanah, Uncle Tom and I) took off to go to a very far place to see fireflies. The place was a swamp. Mama, Auntie Susan and I sat on the same Sampan ( a Malay word for a rowboat) to see the fireflies. At first, I was scared as it was total darkness and I thought that there were crocodiles in the swamp because my friend said that there were a lot of crocs there.
Just at that point, I conquered many fears, First, my fear of being on a boat, Second, my fear of crocs, Third, my fear of darkness.
Later, we went for dinner at a seafood restaurant where there were a lot of bugs. Some of the bugs went into the food and drinks. A lot of the bugs went on me!
After a long trip back to home, I finally reached home at started writing today's blog.
Hope you like it :)
Today, I went to a birthday party at my friend , Thian Zhang Ming, house. She lives in a pent house. It is a very beautiful house.
I shall start at the beginning of the day, I woke up and an hour later me and Mama left to go to a Hyundai Service Center because my other friend , Zachary Lee-Vincent, will pick me up from the Hyundai Service Center and send me to his house whereas later i will going to Zhang Ming's birthday party.
At Zachary's House, I just played with his PSP( Play Station Portable) and played chess with him.
After that we took of to go to Zhang Ming's party.
Upon arriving there, we started to have some lunch of fried chicken, french fries and sushi .
When we planned to go swimming then it rained. After it rained, we swam in the swimming pool.
After swimming, we went back upstairs beacause it started to rain again.
Upstairs, Zhang Ming and a few more of our friends brought in some Domino's Pizza.
Later, when the day was getting darker, we went outside to light some candles. After that, an Indian uncle came and gave us some fireworks and we started to play with fireworks. I wonder, are fireworks legal in Malaysia? :)
At 9.45 p.m. Zachary and I left the party and they dropped me back to my house :)
That's the end of the party :)
On 9/10/09 at 11 p.m.(Friday), Mama, Aunty Jamie and I started our car trip to Penang. We reached Penang at 2 or 3 a.m. the next day.
We stayed one night at my Uncle Stuart's apartment. After having a light breakfast (a sandwich), I showered and waited for my Mama to wake up.
After that we went to Ah Kong (my grandfather) and Por Por (my grandmother)'s house to have a very nice lunch.
After lunch, Mama, Aunty Jamie and I went to Kechara Paradise Penang (KP Penang) to have a book club of KMP's latest books (Peace, If Not Now When? (peace edition, Who's Who? and many others). I was in-charge of taking photos.
That is the end of the Penang Trip :)
Anger is bad. It is bad because it can hurt oneself and others. That is why parents totally dislike kids who have bad tempers.
When I got angry in school for being lied to and kicked out of the school soccer team by the soccer teammates, I was scolded by the teacher because I acted out of anger and did not think about what i was doing. Later, I understood that anger only leads to trouble. The first thing is thought while i was being scolded was : " but they did not let me in and they put a horribly weak person on the team instead of me." Later after thinking about it, I thought :" well, maybe it is because he(the weak player) really wants to play and the other teammates are his friends." But then I feel as if i am blaming the weak player. Finally after deep thought: " I thought that well, the other people who was not on the team were not angry so why should I be angry. Making myself feel angry will make myself feel unhappy." After that my anger decreased.
There are many ways anger can come about, some of them are : embarrassment, insults and others. There are also many ways to remove anger ( but this can also be done while being stressed out ):
1. Take Deep Breaths.
2. Before feeling like you are going to explode, count to 20.
3. Read a book.
4. Think of music ( Beethoven, Mozart, slow songs basically)
5. Go to somewhere quiet and cry out the anger ( It actually works )
6. Talk to a Psychiatrist or school counselor
7. Talk to your teachers or parents
8. Chanting Mantras. ( Example: Om Mani Padme Hum or Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha etc.)
If you want to know how to not to make yourself unhappy then I recommend a few books. The books are published by Kechara Media and Publications (KMP). Information about KMP will be written at the bottom of the blog. The books I recommend are:
1. Why I make myself unhappy
2. Peace
3. If not now, when?
4. If not now, when?( Peace Edition )
5. Peace (Chinese)
6. Compassion Conquers All
Today, the whole Standard 6 of SJK(C) Kuen Cheng (2) (including me) visited Kuen Cheng High School.
When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the counseling teacher and was shown a short presentation and a few short clips regarding the 100 years that Kuen Cheng schools existed. Did you know that Kuen Cheng was one of only few schools that were still teaching students during world war II?The presentation also mentioned that if I take part of a certain activity (regarding computers) I could actually receive some sort of Diploma for ICCT.
After That, we were given a small tour around the school. We went into the computer classroom. The computers were "Acer" brand computers. The computer room does have internet. That means on your free time (Recess, End of School Day) you can surf the net (one of my favourite things).
After that we went to the other classrooms to look from the outside as they were studying inside.
Later, we were shown to the dormitory( From now onwards i will refer it to as "dorms" ). The dorms currently is mostly for girls but by next year guys can use the dorms as well. There are two different types of dorms . The first type where there is not an air-conditioned dorm for a price around RM140-199. Whereas the air-conditioned dorms will be RM202. The school has two canteens (one below the dorms, the other below the ground.)
Later, we returned back to the computer room to be given a short presentation of what am we are going to do in the computer class next year (even though some kids prefer to go to government schools, private schools (Sri K.D.U., Chempaka etc.). The classes for the computer class as seen in the presentation included: Photoshop, Windows Moviemaker, How to make animations, How to make toothpaste boxes etc.
Last but not least, we went back to the main hall and had a light snack then we marched back into our buses and returned back to the building of SJK(C) Kuen Cheng (2).
Hope everyone likes this report and maybe can come and enroll in this school :)
Permanent Happiness means free from whatever suffering forever. In Buddhist terms it means " enlightenment". Enlightenment is liberation from suffering. Buddha Shakyamuni's enlightenment as stated in wikipedia (the link for Buddha Shakyamuni's life story in wikipedia is : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gautama_Buddha) is the following:
After asceticism and concentrating on meditation and Anapana-sati (awareness of breathing in and out), Siddhartha is said to have discovered what Buddhists call the Middle Way—a path of moderation away from the extremes of self-indulgence and self-mortification. He accepted a little milk and rice pudding from a village girl named Sujata, who wrongly believed him to be the spirit that had granted her a wish, such was his emaciated appearance. Then, sitting under a pipal tree, now known as the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, India, he vowed never to arise until he had found the Truth. Kaundinya and the other four companions, believing that he had abandoned his search and become undisciplined, left. After 49 days meditating, at the age of 35, he attained Enlightenment; according to some traditions, this occurred approximately in the fifth lunar month, and according to others in the twelfth. Gautama, from then on, was known as the Buddha or "Awakened One." Buddha is also sometimes translated as "The Enlightened One." Often, he is referred to in Buddhism as Shakyamuni Buddha or "The Awakened One of the Shakya Clan."
At this point, he is believed to have realized complete awakening and insight into the nature and cause of human suffering which was ignorance, along with steps necessary to eliminate it. This was then categorized into 'Four Noble Truths'; the state of supreme liberation—possible for any being—was called Nirvana. He then allegedly came to possess the Nine Characteristics, which are said to belong to every Buddha.
According to one of the stories in the Āyācana Sutta (Samyutta Nikaya VI.1), a scripture found in the Pāli and other canons, immediately after his Enlightenment, the Buddha was wondering whether or not he should teach the Dharma to human beings. He was concerned that, as human beings were overpowered by greed, hatred and delusion, they would not be able to see the true dharma, which was subtle, deep and hard to understand. However, Brahmā Sahampati, interceded and asked that he teach the dharma to the world, as "there will be those who will understand the Dharma". With his great compassion to all beings in the universe, the Buddha agreed to become a teacher.
Permanent Happiness a.k.a Enlightenment can also mean the feeling after you find the truth.The truth is the four noble truths (as stated in wikipedia):
1.The Nature of Suffering
2.Suffering's Origin
3.Suffering's Cessation
4.The Way Leading to the Cessation of Suffering
Hope you like my blog :)
Happiness is impermanent because when you want to get something that another person has then you get it, you will be happy. The only problem is your happiness will only last for a very short time. Why? It is because you end up knowing : " Oh, somebody else done it, so what is so special about that? "
When a person has a lot of money, the become happy, but later, they become very scared because they are worried that they would lose all their fortune. In short, "HAPPINESS" CAN CAUSE SUFFERING. So called "happiness" is happiness that will end up in sorrow.
So, if you do not want to feel suffering of "happiness" which involves money, you can donate it to charities, churches,temples or any other place that needs money to help out the much less fortunate people.
This blog is just to make sure that people that are going to have "happiness" better do something good about it :)
Can I Borrow $25?
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what is it?'
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'
The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.
'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'
The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.
'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.
'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.
It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love..
Have we forgotten what is really important in life? Too caught up in money, personal
ambitions, and forgot how to enjoy and appreciate the sweet simplicities in life?
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
When I was at school, my teacher, Miss Lim Chau, lent me a book that her husband picked out. The book was called "Tuesdays with Morrie". I thought it was a very touching story about an old man, a professor of sociology named Morrie, dying from a terminal illness, a young man, a young man named Mitch(making this story as real as possible as the author is named Mitch Albom) who was at first the friend of the professor but later they separated because the young man had to have a good life but later they rejoined because the professor was dying and he wanted to be together during their last "lesson" in life (death). The book is a very good book for those who are very scared of death because it will relieve you of your fear.
Later at school, the class and I watched the ending of a very good movie called :"Helen the Baby Fox". There is a saying about the movie, it says:"If you don't cry after the movie, you have no soul"
This is the synopsis of the movie:
"Based on a true story. Early spring in Hokkaido, Northern Japan. Taichi, a boy who tends to be a dreamer, has just arrived from the big city to live with his mother's new boyfriend, a veterinarian, and his daughter.One day after school, Taichi discovers the cub of a Northern fox crouching near the side of the road and despite the objections of those around him, he decides to take care of the lovable creature. The baby fox can't see, hear nor bark. So, Taichi names it Helen after Helen Keller, the first blind, deaf and mute person to communicate using the sign language. Helen responds to Taichi's devoted caring efforts and begins to strive for life, in spite of her frail body. The boy and his veterinarian family watch over Helen with encouragement and love."
This movie has a very sad ending but it is a very touching story. This movie is not really recommended for people whose feelings are very sensitive.
11 a.m. I woke up late and hurried of to Lam Rim Class with Mama ( My mother( i will be mentioning Mama a lot in my blog ) .
11.40 a.m. I reached Kechara House ( my Buddhist center ) to have Lam Rim class. The topic of today's Lam Rim Class is basically "The Preciousness of Life". Teacher Mr. Ngeow talked about the preciousness of life but my favorite part of today's class was these words : "What you do with your life is how you die but HOW YOU DIE IS HOW YOU ARE REBORN. "
I thought these words are very true because if you are very wealthy, you may grow overweight because of luxurious food then you die of heart disease and when you die you will be scared because all your money will be gone and then in your next life (Yes, there is a past and future life) you will be born in one of the three lower realms (Hell Realm, Hungry Ghost Realm and the Animal Realm).
2.00 p.m. After a nice lunch at Yee Fatt Koptitiam (A coffee shop were the food is very good). I went back to Kechara House to have Manjushri Kids Class but Mama goes to Adult Manjushri Class. Today, Uncle Alex was talking about Discipline and other stuff. At Manjushri Kids Class, the class recited the Gaden Laghyama (Lama Tsgonkhapa's Guru Yoga).
So that is the end of my first blog by Tenzin Khenchen :)
