Alright, continuing this series, I will talk about what to find in a spiritual guide.

You must rely upon a spiritual guide who are the following:

1. who is subdued. Subdued means that he has ethics and moral discipline.

2. pacified. That means he is peaceful and not distracted.

3. who has more good qualities than you.

4. who has perseverance.

5. who is a wealth of the scriptures.

6. has realization into suchness. Deep and stable realization.

7. who is a skilled speaker.

8. Is the embodiment of love and compassion.

9. Is not discouraged.

I noticed that my Lama has all of these.
Yay! Since I am back in KL with my notebook. I am going to write my next post on Guru devotion. I need some feedback just to know whether what I am doing here is good. Please correct me if I write anything with a wrong definition. We can even debate upon a subject if you like.

Okay. Back to the point. Today, I am going to write about the disadvantages of not relying on a spiritual guide.

Why I am not writing on the disadvantages of relying on a spiritual guide? It is because there are no disadvantages!

1. If you disparage your guru, you will be insulting all the victorious ones. The victorious ones meaning the Buddhas. I believe that my guru, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, is an Enlightened being. That means if I insult him it is the same as insulting all the Buddhas. I will never insult such a great person. There is no reason to.

"Having become the disciple of such a protecting (Guru), should you then despise him from your heart, you will reap continual suffering as if you had disparaged all the Buddhas. "
~50 verses of guru devotion

2. When you develop angry thoughts towards your guru, you will be destroying your root merits and you will be reborn in a hell. You will stay in hell for the same amount of eons as the amount of moments of anger towards your guru.

3. You will NEVER achieve Enlightenment EVEN if you have reliance on the Tantra.

4. Though you seek the benefit of Tantra, you will only achieve the hells and the like if you do not rely on a guru.

5. You will not develop fresh qualities you have not already developed and those you have developed will degenerate.

6. In this life, you will frequently become sick.

7. You will wander endlessly in the lower realms in your next life.

8. You will be deprived of spiritual guides in all future lives.
I am so happy to be back in KL!!!
I am writing this post from my iPad. I think the iPad is awesome. You can do so many things with it. You can type, play games and even draw!!!!

I turned off autocorrect so nothing would go wrong when i write.

Some people dislike the iPad because ot is a big ipod touch. Well, you got a point there. But the games you can play are in hd. Meaning that there are better graphics.

Now, i can get alll my apps for free as i used greenpoision to jailbreak my ipad. Wanna check it out? Go to google and search green poison.....

Thank. Have a nice day everyone.
I am writing from Penang. I am visiting Penang to check on my Ah Kong. He is sick. I hope everyone who reads this post would say some prayers for him.

Tayatha Om Beckanze Beckanze Maha Beckanze Ranza Samughate Soha

The mantra above is the Medicine Buddha mantra. It is very good for healing. Chant it to cure and prevent sickness.

By the way, waiting for the next part of the guru devotion series? Be sure to keep your eyes peeled. It is coming soon. ;P

I am writing a short series on my blog about Guru devotion. Today, I am writing about advantages of relying on a spiritual guide. Stay tuned and watch out for more to this series.

Guru devotion is the root of the path. It is essential. It is very important.

My guru is H.E. Tsem Rinpoche. He is the kindest man I know. He does everything he can to help every sentient. Rinpcohe deserves everything in the world. May all of the things he wishes to be accomplished be accomplished.

Here, I am going to start on the advantages of relying on a spiritual guide.

1. You will come closer to Buddhahood.

You will come closer to Buddhahood by practicing whatever you kind guru has taught you. Another way you can come closer to Buddhahood is through making offerings that are made without deceitful motives to your Guru. By serving your guru in any way, you will be taking another step closer towards Buddhahood.

2. It pleases the victorious ones.

The victorious ones = The Buddhas

The Buddhas of the ten directions are willing to teach you the Dharma but you are not fortunate enough to see the supreme nirmanakaya, let alone the sambhogakaya. These forms only appear to those with pure karma.

Nirmanakaya is the physical body of a buddha, which manifests in the world to teach and save all beings.

Sambhogakaya is the "body of delight" or "bliss body," or the buddha body that experiences the bliss of enlightenment.

If you do not rely on your guru, you will NOT please the Buddhas, no matter how many offerings you make them.

3. You will not be disturbed by demons or bad company.

Ever afraid of the possibility that there is a demon in your room, awaiting for the opportunity to attack you and gobble you up? Never be afraid again! Just rely on your guru. Demons and other bad things would be repelled away from your home. Well, another way for the same effect is to believe in Dharmapala Setrap :)

4. Your insights and realizations will increase.

I do not know how to elaborate on this one, so please help me explain this in the comments section below. I only know that as stated above would happen. That is it. Sorry.

5. You will not be deprived of a spiritual guide for every lifetime.

That is great. That means that if you are very good in this life. You rely on your spiritual guide. You will be able to have the fortune of having a spiritual guide in future lifetimes.

6. You will not fall to the 3 lower realms.

I think that this is awesome. That means that 80% of the future rebirths most probably would have a chance to learn the Dharma. Yay!

Thus, this article comes to an end. Please visit my guru's blog as he is a very inspirational man.
