#Trending: Electro Saves Someone from Fiery Doom

Jamie Foxx, famous for roles of both brave heroes and misunderstood villains, saves a young man from a fiery accident as the victim's truck exploded, soon after Foxx saves the driver.

He definitely extends his heroic tendencies away from just the silver screen. It's all over the news so I shall spare you from the extensive details.

What I got from such a story was that, Mr Foxx, didn't think twice about saving the man's life. He didn't care that he was rich and famous. He just did what he decided he had to do. He risked his life. And his life is pretty good to live, a selfish person wouldn't have taken the risk. Foxx, however, wasn't selfish, he decided that any man's life is as good as his own and he took action.

This simple mentality is somewhat lacking in the general populace. I feel that regardless of social status, the ability to give a damn should be instilled in everyone. We should get rid of the 'couldn't care less' attitude and help those who are in trouble. Anyone could be a hero this way.

It doesn't take a fiery explosion to be a heroic badass either. If you genuinely want to be a hero, you can start small, be just a single person's hero. Your parents, your mothers, your fathers. Talk to them once in awhile. Take them out for a meal. That would mean the world to them.

If you want to be even more heroic, go out. See a blind person that needs help, ask them if they need help and just do it! Go to a soup kitchen or an orphanage! Make someone's day!

The world is a bad enough place already, so be nice to your neighbor. Be kind to all, be the hero that this world needs. Everyone is a hero in their own way with every good deed done.

Get rid of the attitude that you matter more than others. In this world, we are a single living confluence of lives, supporting each other, blending in with each other, loving each other. Living this way, in such a humbled manner, makes you a hero. Making everyone's lives better by treating them as you would treat yourself, makes you a hero. Risking yourself to help others, makes you a hero.

So, go out there and be a hero. Make this planet a better place. If a Hollywood star with so much to lose can do it, us mortals with nothing to lose can do it too!

Sharing is Caring,
Sean Wang
