This is my 100th post. I thought it would be great to put something meaningful where everyone can learn something.

Today's post will be about the Eight auspicious signs and the seven royal emblems.

First, I am going to write about the Eight auspicious signs.

These are the Eight Auspicious Signs.

The top left to right are as follows: Parasol, Twin Fishes, Treasure vase, Lotus
The bottom left to right are as follows: Conch Shell, Longevity/Eternal Knot, Victory Banner, Dharma Wheel.

I am going to explain them one at a time.

The Parasol represents spiritual authority. It also represents a shelter for all beings. It is represented as a shelter for all beings as it provides protection and frees all beings from danger.

The Twin Fishes represent us as being fishes with no fears of drowning in the ocean of Samsara and having ease when we are going from one life to another. The Twin Fishes also represent good fortune and happiness.

The Treasure Vase represents inexhaustible outer and inner wealth. Also, the treasure vase represents health and all the conditions to practice Dharma.

The Lotus represents purification, renunciation, compassion. The Lotus mainly represents the clearing of our delusions. When the Lotus grows out from muddy water, it is represents coming out of Samsara.

The Conch Shell represents the spreading of Dharma as the sound of the Conch Shell travels far and wide.

The Longevity Knot (it is also called the Eternity/Eternal Knot but basically it has many names) represents unlimited happiness and longevity.

The Victory Banner represents victory over our maras and our delusions. There are two different types of victories. The two different types of victories are Outer and Inner Victories. Outer Victories mean physical obstacles or demons. Inner Victories mean our delusions as they are in our minds.

Finally, there is the Dharma Wheel. The Dharma Wheel represents the Universal Monarch, the Buddha and the Dharma Wheel is the symbol of the teachings in motion.

Now, I am going to write about the seven royal emblems.

These are the seven Royal Emblems.

I have labeled the pictures of the royal emblems.

The Precious Jewels represent unending power and possibilities.

The Precious Elephant represents the qualities of being a noble gentleman and having strength of the mind.

The Precious Queen represents love that is not attached. She has the ultimate feminine beauty and love for her husband. She radiates the joy of Enlightenment.

The Precious King represents the power to overcome enemies.

The Precious Minister helps the Chakravartins (Here is the wikipedia article on Chakravartins http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakravartin) and is a liaison that helps the King. He helps to spread the Dharma.

The Precious Horse is able to travel far and wide. It is a very fast horse. It represents carrying the Dharma and spreading it quickly.

Precious Wheel is the wheel of truth.

That is all.
Rinpoche's kindness really exceeds all of the people I am have met in my life by tenfold. He is the greatest Lama I have ever met. He treated Edward, Beatrix, Melissa and I to a fun night out yesterday.

Mama dropped me off at Ladrang after she received a magic phone call. The four of us waited at Ladrang for a few minutes. I watched Edward play his Nintendo DS.

After that, we all were told to go downstairs to Rinpoche's car. I had the honour of sitting in the front seat, in other words would be right next to Rinpoche. I was so happy to have such a great honour to sit right next to my Lama.

We were called back into the Ladrang to have a small welcome together with Rinpoche. Rinpoche asked for all our ages. Rinpoche commented that my answer was quite slow. I guess I am not quite used to calling myself thirteen yet as it was my 13th Birthday less that two weeks ago.

Edward was kind of the "victim of the day" for tonight as he was getting teased a lot by Rinpoche but he was teased in not a bad way but in a good way as I could tell he looked like he had a fun time when getting teased by Rinpoche :P

Rinpoche asked Edward whether Edward's stomach was a stomach or a pillow. Edward showed Rinpoche his stomach and said that it was a stomach. Then Rinpoche asked whether his bum was a bum or a pillow, then Rinpoche said, "Don't show me." We all laughed.

After that, we went into Rinpoche's car. As we drove out from Ladrang, Rinpoche asked us what we done before we got the magic phone call. I guess what I said made me sound like kind of a worthless person as I said that I was playing with my PSP. I could have said that I was helping out at my house by feeding the dogs, doing the laundry or feeding the cats. As I was doing those things earlier that day.

We all drove to Tropicana Mall. We used an entrance that I never hear of. I thought out loud that I never heard of this entrance before and Rinpoche joked that it was because the only mall that Mama takes me to is Amcorp mall. Well, I did not go to Amcorp mall in a long time :P

We went into the Tropicana Parking lot and we found a parking spot quite easily. We went into the mall to meet up with Uncle Monlam, Aunty Wendy and Jean Mei jie jie.

The first place we went to in the mall was this DVD shop. Rinpoche said that we can pick two DVDs we like. I picked A-Team and RED. I picked A-Team because I liked the advertisement so I believe that it would be a good movie and I picked RED because it had a lot of great actors in them such as Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and one of Mama's favourites Helen Mirren. Rinpoche thought that the movies I picked out were violent.

After that, we visited a pet shop and watched the fishes and Rinpoche said that Rinpoche likes a Red fish. I do not know the species.

After looking at the fishes, we went to look at the rabbits and guinea pigs. They were so cute. Everyone wanted to pet them but I did not as I did not want to scare them.

After that, we went upstairs two floors and ate some Korean Potato Pancakes. Rinpoche taught Edward and I how to eat the pancakes properly. He showed all of us by smearing this white sauce on the pancake and then smearing this chili sauce onto the pancake then it can be eaten. They tasted so nice. I would love to return back there again to eat their pancakes. I wish that Kechara Oasis might have that some day.

After all of us were done, Rinpoche told us to go to Borders to pick out a books we might like. I looked for True Singaporean Ghost Stories book 20 but they were out of stock. It was nearly closing time. So, Rinpoche asked us to hurry up. So, I ended up getting one very interesting book called Narnia: The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis. Beatrix picked out one of Rinpoche's favourite books. I guess there must be some sort of affinity between their book choices. Beatrix picked out Hauntings.

After picking out the books, Rinpoche treated us to Tutti Frutti yogurt ice-cream. I picked Chocolate flavour. Rinpoche teased Edward for picking Strawberry. Rinpoche joked that Strawberry is a girl flavor. We all laughed about it.

After Ice-Cream, we were driving to the Curve to watch a movie. The road to 1U was blocked so we had to make U-Turn. Rinpoche decided to play a game with us. It is called the Scenario game. The first Scenario was what would you think Edward would do we just dropped him on the side of the road. We all laughed and I said that he would just stand there until someone picks him up. Melissa said that maybe he would cry. Beatrix said that he would call a cab to take him home. Rinpoche then asked Edward whether Edward knew where he lived, Edward recited out his home address instantly. The second Scenario was what would happen if we drop Edward off on the overhead bridge. The girls at the back said that he would all someone to pick him up.

While we were making the U-Turn, Rinpoche showed us that the electricity at the Ladrang and the area around it went out. Rinpoche said that it was because the electrician was eating.

We finally reached the Curve. Uncle Monlam and Aunty Wendy helped to reserve a parking space for Rinpoche's car. People were honking their horn at Rinpoche. I wonder what would have happened if it was a Kecharian and they discovered that they have been honking at Rinpoche but I never uttered a word and decided to keep that thought to myself at the time.

Then, we went upstairs to the cinemas. We were going to watch Narnia 3. Rinpoche did not join us for the movie. Rinpoche said his goodbyes and we all thanked him and said goodbye to Rinpoche as Rinpoche left.

I love the new Narnia movie. I know I have watched Narnia with Uncle Thierry before but Narnia 3 is really worth watching millions and millions of times. I like the storyline and the effects that come with it.

I really want to thank Rinpoche for giving me such a great day. Mama told me today that a way to show thanks is to share your experience. I also want to get a little gift for Rinpoche as another way to show your thanks is to repay the kindness given to you by giving a gift.
I have been writing a schedule so that I can keep track of what to do for the rest of the holidays.

I have to keep track of what I do so that I will not forget my jobs. If I do not do my jobs, it would show that I am lazy.

By doing these jobs, I can keep track on my laziness and prevent it from winning over. If I am good and do my jobs then I can have fun.

If I have fun and do not do my jobs, I will get it. So, I am going to watch out.

The punishment if I do not do my jobs is a grounding for 3 days. That is something I would not want, so I will be doing my jobs!

I must do them without being reminded. That way I can be able to be responsible of what I do.

These jobs will be able to benefit me when I grow up as my laziness would nearly or completely cease to exist.

The most greatest offering you can give to your Lama would be a mind transformed. I am still working on it but I will be transformed in my mind very quickly.

One of my biggest problems is my anger. That is what I am looking forward to change as I usually get angry over small things and blame others for what I feel.

When I am angry, I would usually have a big fit and I would mess up my room. The effect of my anger it that it would worry others or make them sad as it shows that I am really selfish.

Anger is really unnecessary. I used to think that I am hurt because someone else is hurting me but actually it is me who is hurting myself as I am the one creating the causes. When people scold me I now understand that it is because they are right and I have done wrong. Previously, I would think that it is just people being mean to me.

I would be creating the causes to be hurt when I ignore my responsibilities and when I get scolded for neglecting my responsibilities, I get angry.

All emotions are FAKE. They are non-existent. They are not real. That is why there is actually no point in getting angry as when you get angry, it would just pass by. It is like the sound of the clap of our hands. It appears from nowhere and goes nowhere. So, there would be no point at all when you get angry over something.

I will change by not being so selfish. I will also control my anger as much as I can so I can stop anything bad to happen from the result of my selfishness.
Today, I woke up extremely late because I had trouble sleeping yesterday.

At around 2 p.m. Uncle Thierry took me to KLCC. We actually wanted to go to Petrosains KLCC. Petrosains is a science gallery. I have not been there in a long time. It was actually SOLD OUT!

We thought that Aquaria would also be over packed too. Aquaria is an aquarium in KLCC.

In the end, we went to Pavilion Shopping Mall. When we reached there, parking was quite hard to find but we eventually found a good parking spot.

We went to the Golden Screen Cinemas to watch a movie. We chose Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Threader.

Narnia was a very nice movie. The effects were really good and it seemed that nearly the whole movie was action packed.

The movie showed that our mind controls everything as part of the movie shows that our minds must be conquered or else we would fall into its traps. Another thing is that greed leads to our downfall as the main characters reached an island that had a lot of gold. One of the main characters where very tempted to keep the gold, he turned into a fire breathing dragon.

I kind of figured out that Narnia was actually meant for Christian audiences as at the end of the movie. Aslan the lion said that he was known by another name in the real world. That of course would be god as he is shown as very powerful and he said that he would be always watching those who believe in him.

I had a lovely birthday.

In the morning, I went to La Bodega for breakfast. I had a big breakfast.

After that, I went to the Kechara Paradise Stock Party. I managed to make a few sales to some people. Most of them were Kecharians.

I had bought a book and a Heruka Cakrasamvara statue for Rinpoche as there is a new Kecharian tradition. That is to give a gift to your Lama on your birthday.

It is very good to do Dharma work on your birthday as it is a special day to you and you will earn more merit.

After that, I went to Kechara Oasis to have dinner. The dinner was very nice. I ordered a cake from Ladrang. It was made by Uncle Justin. It tasted very nice. I really liked it.

I got a lot of Ang Paos for KMP. Once I reached home, I counted them. I raised a total of RM 1070.

I am donating to KMP so that Rinpoche's teachings may spread further so that Lama Tsongkhapa's lineage will be spread and people will have a chance to become enlightened.

From the rest of the Aunties I received a PSP. I was so happy upon receiving that gift I nearly cried in joy but I controlled myself. The PSP was confiscated yesterday as I was irresponsible and did not give water to my dogs.

Yesterday, I helped to save a dog with scabies and I finally seen something through a microscope. Whenever I look in a microscope, I do not usually see anything but yestertday I finally did.

The dog was given the name ------ Gastone. I think it is a very cute name.

I have just received the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book in the series. This book has a purple cover. The book is called The Ugly Truth.

This time the story talks about how the main character, Gregory, experiences aging from boy to man. He actually hates the process as one of the things he hates in the world comes to haunt him, RESPONSIBILITIES. He is one of the few fictional characters who actually face the realities of children these days. He believes that responsibilities are something that are not needed but he has not been trying to take care of two dogs.

Gregory is actually in every way the worst kid in the world as he is self-deluded in thinking that he would be in the limelight forever when he is happy but he just needs to learn that the world is really not the way its cut out to be.

The way the writer writes the story is very interesting as he does not write from a third person view. He writes the character as if he is writing the diary himself. The novel is also mostly portrayed in cartoons. So, even someone who does not like to read would read that book.

I believe that if most children think of him as an opposite of a role model, children today would be better.
