Qing Ming Puja

Today, I went to a Qing Ming Puja. Let me just explain what Qing Ming is.

Qing Ming Festival is when Chinese people visit the graves or burial grounds of their ancestors. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, joss paper accessories, and/or libations to the ancestors.

But in Kechara, we have a different method in celebrating Qing Ming.

We had a Medicine Buddha and Setrap Puja. The dedications go out to both dead and alive.

I only attended the Setrap puja. It was very nice. We recited 10 malas of Setrap's mantra.

I hope that Setrap may be able to guide those who are deceased to have an optimum human rebirth and also to be able to meet the Dharma.

Happy Qing Ming to all :)
