Today, I went to a Qing Ming Puja. Let me just explain what Qing Ming is.
Qing Ming Festival is when Chinese people visit the graves or burial grounds of their ancestors. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, joss paper accessories, and/or libations to the ancestors.
But in Kechara, we have a different method in celebrating Qing Ming.
We had a Medicine Buddha and Setrap Puja. The dedications go out to both dead and alive.
I only attended the Setrap puja. It was very nice. We recited 10 malas of Setrap's mantra.
I hope that Setrap may be able to guide those who are deceased to have an optimum human rebirth [.....]
The exams have been tough. The results are returning. The results are the results of my studying.
I noticed something odd. The results I get for the stuff I studied for are worse than the ones that I did not study for... I hope I can find the answers to that problem.
I would be happy if I am told why my results would be bad if I study and good when I don't. Maybe it is because I did not study hard enough? [.....]

I had a nightmare last night about being a chicken. Many people would think that it would be no big deal but to me it was. I dreamed that I was a chicken for slaughter.
It was extremely vivid.
I dreamed that at birth the tip of my beak was cut off by a hot iron.Then, I could not be social with my friends. I was very afraid. These men chucked me into a small cage. It was packed with 20 other chickens.
What felt like a few months later, my feet were aching and cut up because of the cage bottom. Some of my friends already died. Their bodies were just left there, unattended.
Then, the cage shook and the [.....]
On 12/3/2011, the new KMP office had its official opening party.
The previous Kechara House prayer hall became the new KMP office. I think that it is quite cool as Rinpoche has turned the wheel of Dharma many times here while this space was still the old prayer hall. We did a lot of prayers there too - like 10 million Migtsema mantras, many retreats and 100 Lamrim recitations. I wish Rinpoche's teachings will be spread in the 100 directions by KMP. I am sure that wish will come [.....]
Today, there was MKC. It was really fun. It was more of discussion today. We discussed about to questions.
The two questions are:
1. What is happiness to you?
I answered: to be able to help others as I have an optimum human rebirth that is also fit to become Enlightened.
2. What is real happiness?
I answered: to have the bliss of being enlightened.
Then, we watched a few funny videos. [.....]
Today, the flea market was extremely slow. I just managed to get a few sales. Does anyone have any stuff that they would like to donate to sell at the flea market? I plan to donate some of my books.
On Saturdays, we can get a better area but on Sunday we get more sales. [.....]
My exam time is coming. I plan on updating my blog on my exams and my hope for results. I hope all will be well. If anyone can tell me any tips on how to raise funds for kmp or make some extra cash, please comment to tell me. Thanks. [.....]
